7 years ago today, Dr Albert Ellis passed away. He revolutionized psychology laying down the intellectual foundations of cognitive therapy through his groundbreaking approach Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy. Humanity has benefited from the work of Dr Ellis, his philosophical, action orientated therapy has helped millions of people world wide.
Today many therapeutic approaches have learned from and used REBT, at times re-surfacing in a different guise with name but with the unmistakable footprint of Albert Ellis.
His lovely wife Dr Debbie Joffe Ellis continues his legacy that she was entrusted. She recently presented REBT to the Australian Parliament Building.
Long live REBT!
