Celebrating 25 years in Practice.
The seminar was well attended and it was good to see familiar faces and new ones. The seminar started at 10.00 am.
We spoke about the tremendous influence Dr Albert Ellis had on psychology and how he created the pioneering cognitive therapy: REBT.
The seminar focused on demands and inaccurate definitions with examples and case histories. The ABC form, highlighting the impact thinking has on the event not the event on the person. Memory, its management and understanding with the influence of the outstanding Dr Claire Weekes.
The groundbreaking and extremely helpful Rational Emotive Imagery (REI) was explained, demonstrated and then discussed. The participant Jane benefited from it. Thank you Jane for volunteering.
After the break hypnotherapy was explained and demonstrated. Thanks to Gerri for volunteering.
