Robin is a Full member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP): Hypnotherapy Division, a UKCP accredited supervisor, an approved Hypnotherapy provider to Bupa and a Fellow of The National Society of Hypnosis & Psychotherapy.
The UKCP’s purpose is to promote the art and science of psychotherapy for the public benefit; to promote research and education in psychotherapy and disseminate the results of any such research; and to promote (or assist in the promotion, preservation and protection of public health by encouraging) high standards of training and practice in psychotherapy and the wider provision of psychotherapy for the public benefit.
We are the leading organisation for the education, training, accreditation and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors in the UK.
We exist to promote and maintain high standards of practice of psychotherapy and psychotherapeutic counselling for the benefit of the public throughout the United Kingdom.
We have around 10,000 individual members and more than 70 training and accrediting organisations. Our individual members work privately, in public health or third sector organisations offering a wide variety of psychotherapeutic approaches.
We hold the national register of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors which only includes practitioners who meet our exacting standards and training requirements and who agree to abide by our ethical standards.

UKCP register is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care under its Accredited Registers programme for Accredited Hypnotherapist. The programme was set up to provide assurance on the standards of registers of unregulated health and care occupations.
Accreditation means that UKCP have met the Authority’s demanding standards in the following areas: governance, setting standards, education and training, managing the register, providing information and complaints handling.

The Professional Associations Research Network (PARN) is a not-for-profit membership organisation for professional bodies, offering expertise, experience and perspective on key issues in the sector.
